Last fall, Virginia’s Community Colleges received $27 million to help Virginians who lost their jobs due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The funds provide qualifying students free access to educational training for jobs that Virginia employers are eager to fill.
The deadline for Re-Employing Virginians (REV) Grants has now been extended through December 2021.
- Be a Virginia resident
- Be Unemployed or underemployed due to COVID-19 (earning less than $15 an hour if working part-time)
- You must have Received Virginia unemployment benefits on or after Aug. 1, 2020 (job loss could have happened prior to Aug. 1, 2020)
NOTE: REV Grants are one-time education grants to cover the tuition and fees of an eligible training program or a semester of classes and must be used within a single semester of study.
