FastForward Certificate: Nurse Aide

You may pay only $400 if you qualify.  Start your career by taking an entry-level Nurse Aide class.  Your duties could include basic patient care skills, bathing, feeding, dressing, grooming, moving patients, changing linens, etc.  You may support with such duties as standing, walking, exercising, or getting out of bed.  This program prepares multi-skilled health care workers to care for patients of various ages with special emphasis on geriatric nursing, home health, long and short term care facilities, doctors' offices, rehabilitation facilities, private duty nursing or other health areas.  This course includes both classroom lecture and campus lab skills practice.  Students will complete a portion of their clinical experience in an area nursing home (National Health Care - NHC) in Bristol, VA.

Upon completion of the course, graduates are eligible to take the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program (NNAAP) Examination for certification as a Nurse Aide.
